Why We Built This Site
West Virginia permits broad access to many court records, but it does not place every Grant County case in one database. WVPASS provides public circuit documents, and MCR Search provides basic magistrate case information without online document copies. The Circuit Clerk and Magistrate Court Clerk remain the sources for inspection and official copies. Family, juvenile, sealed, confidential, and expunged material has added limits. We organize the verified portal choices, court roles, request routes, and contact details so a reader can start with the custodian that actually holds the record.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket help: how criminal court dockets and civil court dockets differ in Grant County
- Dates and settings: how to use the court schedule and verify a hearing with the correct clerk
- Online searches: how a docket search works in WVPASS or MCR Search
- Copies: how to request court case records from the office that holds them
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a West Virginia court, clerk, or government agency. Those limits mean:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Outside companies power search boxes shown on some pages. Each provider controls its results, prices, and service terms. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports the resource. We do not set those fees or decide which records a partner returns.
